I'm Kate, an MN-based public relations & advertising professional specializing in dance and athletic communications.
I am an avid LA Dodgers fan, ballet dancer, and communications professional. I chose strategic communications because I love connecting with people and helping them reach their goals through effective communication.
Through my education at Ridgewater College and St. Cloud State University, I have developed skills in digital marketing, market research, and event coordination.
I am seeking a position that offers flexibility in my dance teaching schedule and provides opportunities for growth in my communication skills.
Career Goals:
Although I have a background primarily in digital marketing and communication theory. I would love to explore opportunities in account management and/or event coordination. I love following a project from conception to fruition. Project management and long-term customer relations are something I deeply enjoy. Event coordination is the ultimate project management position. I get to utilize my people skills, creativity, and problem-solving to create something amazing!
Industry Interests:
With this field of work, I have the joy of being able to work in virtually any industry. All organizations need good communicators! Some of my favorite industries include performing arts, education, sports & athletics. However, I am willing to join any industry that needs me!
Creative Process:
When it comes to creating something, I like to consider myself 60% strategic and 40% creative. I value clear goals and established metrics to guide my work. I find that my creative state flows best when I start from a strong analytical position. My creative skills include emulating branded voice & tone, visual consistency, and precise messaging.
